which do you think is better and why ? Audi a4 will be anywhere from 2002-2005 and the a3 will be 2006. Audi a4 will be quattro a3 may or may not be. Thanks

i would definetly go with an a4 if it is a quattro especially. The all wheel drive makes a fantastic difference in the handling. You will feel the difference in how the car feels round corners and on teh flat. Also depending on the engine size the a3 is much harder to get work done on the engine cos its all crammed in a small area compared to the a4. But last of all a saloon can be much more practical. On the a3's side it may be abit better inside as it'll be newer and the a4's can be a little plain(for some peoples taste). i would go for an a4 for all its worth.

But the A4 is such a brilliant, fun car to drive. The A4 just doesn't have the same spark, and it's a little boring. Plus how many A3s do you see on the road? Compared to how many A4s?
Audi A4 is the better than A3.

I like both, but I would prefer an a3. they are way more sportier and fun to drive and they look awesome. But no matter what, it has to be a quattro. AWD is what makes an audi and audi. You might wanna consider a BMW 3-series or a Lexus IS 250. I like audi,but the bimmer and lexus are better cars overall. They just lack the AWD. So if you dont do a lot of snow driving, you might want to consider those. If you do then go for the audi a3 or a4. Anything 1998 or below(audi) is gonna be an electrical hell.

a4 is alot better all wheel drive system, and the a3 uses a not so good (haldex) system, thats why the a3 has the motor sideways, and a4 lengthwise, and dont buy a front wheel drive audi
