AN 11 YRS OLD KID HAS NO BUSINESS IN EBAY, PLUS EBAY IS FOR SELLING OR BUYING PRODUCTS.

WHAT YOU AND YOUR MOM THINKS OF EBAY IS CORRECT, DO NOT ALLOW HIM TO CHECK IT OUT.

using it is OK, just be sure you research the sellers feedback (that number beside of their name) You can click on that number and read their feedback scores. the red ones are negative feedbacks, read those especially. Sometimes there was no reason for them to get negatives, which is why i say you need to read them.

i will only deal with people in the 90+ % feedback range, and have never had a bad transaction in buying.

read their descriptions CAREFULLY!

I was a seller on there, and went out of my way for people, but after they raised the selling fees so high a couple of years ago, i decided my selling days are over.

you will need a credit card, and/or paypal, so 18 is pretty much required age, but parents can do it for them.

RESEARCH THE SELLERS FEEDBACK!!!
I can not stress how important that is. It is feedback from other buyers experiences with them, so that will tell you how they are as a seller.

There is always a risk involved, but then again there is also a risk when you go to wal mart too.

enjoy it, and you can get some really good deals from there.

there is no reason for a 11 year old to not use ebay, however someone over 18 would have to set up payment.

i believe you need an active credit card / paypal account to make most transactions on ebay.

well she isnt going to be able to buy or sell anything with out a credit card or debit card... the acount she will be able to have will only allow her to look around, she wont be able to bid or win anythign.. also ebay has rules and regulaions so there isnt anythign on ebay that wouldnt be unsuitable for a child.. if i was you i wouldnt worry about it.

It depends is she buying or selling? Selling could almost be education. Buying, not such a good idea.

No. It's not as good as amazon.com. It's really stupid too. Just an online auction that sells stupid stuff.
