My friends uncle is involved in computer software pirating. I keep telling steve to tell his uncle not to do it. How much time will he get if he ever gets caught? He's in asia and selling to the USA

It depends on the country that he is in and whether or not there are reciprocal agreements between the USA and that country.

Asia, well lets just say the Asian's wont be nice. Most of them country's have very harsh laws on theft. Here in the U.S. in a Federal Prison, 5-30 years. It is a wide range.

If he gets caught in US, he will get up to 25 years, if in Asia, Nobel piece prize
