Two days a week, swimming, two days a week, heavy lifting, for...a little less then 6 months. Can I get a six-pack and noticable biceps? I DON'T want to get skinny. I already weight about 130, and would like to finish weighing around 140. ALSO- I WANT TO DO IT WITHOUT SUPPLEMENTS. Can I do it? Assume proper nutrition/diet, carbs, proteins, etc.

No - not at all - you have to double your effort and then see if you get your six-pack.

Yes you can. What you need to do is bulk up using carbs, good carbs. Eat healthy carbs and protein before you go work out or swim because it will give you more energy. Also start making shakes at home, fruit shakes, and veggy or v=8 shakes. Your body will bulk up because you are supplying it with the food it needs. The supplements you talk about have all of this stuff in them just grouneded up. It's better that you eat everything fresh so you get the vitamins out of them. And when you are working out at the gym you need to focus your energy on the ab area since that's what you want to develop. Doing crunches is great to develop that six pack. That's what we did when I was in the Army, i had a great six pack.

Patrick;
your on the right track. You have picked a great exercise (Swimming) to help give you muscle definition. One aspect that will help you attain your goal is that you do need to increase your frequency of both workouts. It doesn't matter how old you are, ideally you want to do your swim workouts for at least 50 minutes 5 times a week.You'll possibly lose weight, but it will be body fat you'll lose, thus giving you better muscle definition. The increased workouts will help build muscle over time.Weight training is a little more tricky. The first question is how old are you? Weight training is an excellent way to build up muscle mass. Again you need to increase your workout to at least 3 times a week. For more optimal results 5 times a week where for example you do upper body Monday, Wednesday and Friday and then on Tuesday and Thursday do lower body. Keep in mind for weights you want to give your muscles a days rest between workouts for that particular muscle, For cardiac work, you can do this every day and can also do this the same days as your weight training. Good luck and keep up the good work!

That seems definately possible. Swimming is your cardio and then after heavy lifting it leaves you with sufficient recovery time per week. You just gotta make sure to be eating a lot of foods high in protein: chicken, turkey, fish, tuna, etc. Also, find out how many calories you need to gain weight according to your current weight and metabolism: there are plenty of webiste with calculators to help you there.

Swimming will work mostly your shoulders, and upper body, heavy lifting will work some of your abs. I would most likely, do ,some tae bow ab work outs. Doing Bill's bootcamp abs every other day or 2 times a week will help build your abs up strong.

Just remember to rotate and work out every other day, and on your off days of the weights do the ab work outs. You want to relax your upper muscles when your doing your abs and vise versa otherwise you'll burn yourself out;

Sounds good. Listen to what the other people are saying. I just want to say one thing, make sure you take at least one day a week to rest your body, don't wanna work yourself to death now, would you?
