You can store more songs in the 1GB player.

$39.99/Gb is the better deal. You only pay $0.03 per mb while with the $29.99/256mb, you pay $0.12 per mb of storage. With the 1 GB player, it is less cost per song, plus more space to store more songs.

BTW, have you considered MP4 players? Same price. MP4 is a better format - more clarity, smaller files = better quality and more numberr of music tracks.

Pay 10 dollars more and get the 1GB.It will hold a lot more songs and 10 bucks isnt much.
