i am making my schedule for my junior year
i have to drop one of the classes because of physics.
(There's no space if I add physics on my schedule)

So which one should I take for my junior year, chemistry AP
or Biology AP?

If the class is properly taught some of the AP Biology concepts are based upon a good understanding of bonding, Lewis structures, and energy transfer that you will learn about in AP Chemistry. I agree that you can always take the other one as a senior but you need to think about some important things.
1. You want a course you will do very well in - junior year = college admissions.
2. If you enjoy and are good at Math / problem solving - makes chem easier.
3. If you enjoy reading textbook material with some memorization - makes bio easier.
4. Look on the collegeboard website - I believe far more students take AP Bio - that allows chem to stand out more!
5. Taking physics now is a very good choice.
Either way you cannot go wrong - try and figure out which teacher may be more respected at your school.
Good Luck with your decisions!

I would go with AP Bio. I was in an Advanced Chemistry class last year and thought to take AP Chemistry this year. My teacher told me I could handle it. It is so much harder than regular chemistry and the work load is a lot. He said that he had prepared us for the class, but really he didn't. AP Bio is so much easier! Also, if you take AP Chemistry your senior year by the time the exam comes up you are already in college. I've had to spend many long nights this year because of AP Chemistry, and I've never had to do that before. I am very good at Chemistry like last year I made a 98 and 99 for the class. This year my average has suffered an i barely made the A that came so easily last year.

I saw people's opinion that either dropping AP Bio or AP Chem. I recommend you to drop the one that you don't like. You can take them again in college so it doesn't matter. If you can hold 2 at a time, its pretty good for you. But if you don't have enough time. That sucks, you should drop one I as I said.

As a highly qualified science teacher, I wouldn't think, all things being equal, that it should matter. You'll still have your senior year to take whichever one you missed. But.......
For the purposes of standardized tests.....if you have ALREADY had a regular chemistry course, you might want to squeeze in the AP Bio this next year and then pick up the chem senior year. That way you've had one of every science before the ACT or SAT.

drop AP Chem. Trust me. Bio is so much easier and more fun. I took AP Bio freshman year and got a 5 on the AP test. I am in AP Chem now and it sucks soooo bad.

Personally I would drop physics....
But if you are college bound, chemistry would be more essential because biology is mostly memorization and most of the information can be found in a textbook. In chemistry you have to know (and be taught) how to apply formulas and ideas.

Drop AP Bio, I am personally in both and I find Chem a lot easier.
