Zone Alarm security suite is not bad. I personally run Kaspersky anti-virus and CounterSpy anti-spyware together with the Windows firewall and the firewall in my adsl router.
If your computer is running slowly then you probably have spyware and adware on your system and you need to get it out.
DO NOT heed the advice of those who say you don't need full time protection, you do.

Yup Norton really Consumes almost all the stuff making the system slow.

BITDEFENDER would be a best secured option.

Since i dont want all the options in a INTERNET SECURITY working parallely i just use the stuff individually as shown below

1. Active Virus Shield ( FREE AntiVirus)
2. Adaware SE ( FREE spywareremover)
3. Zone Alarm PRO (Firewall)

Geez... Hasnt anyone heard of Nod32? It isnt a "suite" but, it is the BEST anti-virus protection out there. It'll even detect the wild viruses roaming around.. Now thats something Mcafee or norton dont even have points on.. lol

Besides that.. It uses practically no resources compared to bloatware Norton.

Enjoy,

Dominick

I wouldn't even recommend any of the so called Internet Suite. They will use up all your resources and don't even work that great. You're better off using standalone apps.
Antivirus:

Firewall:
ZoneAlarm free or ZoneAlarm Pro
Antispyware:

The best (in my opinion) would be AVG Internet security. It's simply amazing and has everything you need...without hogging all your system memory.

I use it and I really recommend it. If you aren't able to pay for it, get it on a p2p program.

Check out Black Ice or Zone Alarm.

Although if you're switching over to Windows Vista soon you might wanna check to see if they've released compatible upgrade.

I never use them and I'm happy. Because when I use any Internet Security they block everything and your computer works slower. Better to have an Antivirus and Antispyware installed on your computer. Even in that case I switch them off and run them only once a week or when I suspect a virus in my OS then I scan for spyware and viruses and switch them off again. Be sure, your computer works faster with some viruses then with those tools. Only Core Duo Processors work fast when an antiviral tool runs in the background. To be sure go to http://www.intel.com/products/processor/core2duo/index.htm?iid=process_main+c2duo and read the article.
