You seem like someone that enjoys the beach. All of the sand is made from silicon. How about glass? That's made from silicon too. And finallly, I'm sure you enjoy electronic devices. All of the computer chips are made with silicon.

It all seems rather important, doesn't it.

Silicon is important for a jillion reasons. First, it was used to fabricate the menory and processor chips with which you use your computer. Second, melted silicon dioxide makes the glass from which you drink orange juice every morning. Third, silicon dioxide is the sand on which you lie at the beach thinking, "Mm-mm! Life is good!"

But fourth, silicon is the element that made you come here! There are no EZ questions. If science were easy, you wouldn't have to go to school. I hope that we fulfilled your hope here.

P.S.: You're welcome. If you got some good here, pass it on by answering the questions podf others.
