I want to go on birth control for my acne but do I still need to do a pelvic exam.

I didn't, but I'm in the UK, so it might be different for you guys.
I just got my blood pressure checked every 6 months and was asked questions.

Anyone who goes on birth control has to have a pelvic exam, then have regular pelvic exams every 6 months after that for about a year. After that, it's every year.

I went on birth control to help with my cramps. My doctor did require me to have a pelvic exam, i wouldn't be surprised if they required you to have one as well. But you will only know if you call. (If it is your first exam, don't worry, its not as bad as you think) Hope this helps!
