If I make a web layout in photoshop how do I put it into dreamweaver?

Save it as an html document, then open it in DW; that done save it into your site as either Index.html or as a different page.

You have to use Imageready (which comes with photoshop). You slice up your image based on how you want to link and load. Then use File > Output settings > HTML to set all the specifics. Then Save as HTML. It will create the code and place all the images in the images folder.

I find it easiest to slice your layout into two pieces. The heading piece (usually with a logo, links if you have it in your banner etc.), and the background (a small slice that will repeat towards the bottom of the page)

The, put the banner in as a regular image and set the background slice as "background image" in your CSS with a repeat to keep it repeating as long as the text you want to include.
