she went to the dr 2 weeks ago and they found she had strep...she now refuses to eat and the dr said she might have to go to food therapy to learn how to eat again...please i need advice...is this normal?

Well, she just might not want to eat just yet. When my babies are giving me a hard time about eating, I back *way* off. The more you stress her about it, the less she'll eat.

If I were you, I'd buy her some Popsicles and some of her other favorite stuff. Then, just leave it where she can get to it easily. Inform her that these foods are "just for her" and that she may eat them at any time she likes. She'll probably fall for it, since you are giving her the choice as to when or what she will eat.

Food therapy?
She probably isn't hungry and isn't feeling well yet. Just start her off with easy things like nutritious shakes. Then slowly get her into eating regular food. You are still the parent in this situation. Take control and make sure she eats.

I have never heard of therapy.Is the child still drinking?You have to watch the child doesn't get dehydrated.

Not really. She might just still not feel well. Get her banana popsicles and another appt.

take her to the doc. and just relax she will eat when she gets hungry,
