Because adults fail to teach children empathy...Have you see the coolest 8 year old video?
Adults teach children manners, and routines that are seriously worthless, but when it comes to teaching them tender, love and care, they leave it up to the television...they don't talk to them, they don't raise them...
What you get than is a generation of dumb, docile, stupid people who fail to break the chain, and continue to teach their children the same dumb stuff, and walk around giving unsolicited advice, to each other....

In order for society to function there have to be a bunch of idiots just living for the moment to reproduce in large quantities, because if everyone just sat back and thought all the time then nothing would get done.
