I'm 28 weeks pregnant and keep feeling like I'm going to throw up. I never really had morning sickness before. Now I keep getting this lumpy feeling in my throat like I'm going to throw up. It's a feeling I used to get before I'd throw up, like my throat and esophagus are squeezing. Plus if I start to cough I automatically throw up. Has anyone else had this problem?

YES!!! I had that with my first daughter. It was kind of like indigestion. Things don't go down as easy when your belly gets bigger. I had that all the way through, even in labor. Try tums, that helped a little bit. Tums are safe. Also watch the kinds of foods you eat. My triggers were Italian Food, Fast Food and overly seasoned foods. Make sure you chew your food very well. If it continues, you need to consult with your doc.

Yes I do. I did have severe morning sickness until I was 20 weeks and now I am 32 weeks and getting sick again. I always have that same feeling you are describing. Its not fun, but its normal for some.

I just bought Tums today and you can take as many as you like. I do. This is my 4th pregnancy and with my other pregnancies I popped Tums like candy and drank mylanta....All was fine.

Yes, I have had similar feelings... It sounds like your describing GERD (gastroesophagal reflux disorder) that, along with indigestion and heart burn are more common during pregnancy. I was throwing up a very small amount of thick mucus and food almost every night for a bit. So, I talked to my doctor about it and she put me on Zantac. It has helped tremendously!

Your hormones are higher in the last trimester. It could be "morning" sickness coming on or it could be reflux. Try some tums and keeping something small on your stomach at all times, crackers are good for that!

I didn't have this problem, I had morning sickness during my first three months. You should check with your doctor to see what's going on. Although many pregnancies are very different. I've heard of people getting sick towards their last months so don't worry.

It could be drainage, I've always had a problem with drainage making my tummy feel a little yucky. I think Tums are safe when you're pregnant or drink some Sprite to help calm your tummy.

Possibly acid reflux? Tru taking some Tums and see if that helps. You can take them and you can't overdose yourself or the baby on them. If that doesn't work, I would call the doctor tomorrow.

Sounds like Acid Reflux, but ask your doctor to be sure.

And to the person who said you can only take 3 Tums a day...(which really DO work btw!), it doesn't really matter how many you take, because they don't hurt you. My doctors said I could take them as often as I needed one. (yes, more than one doctor said that) But ask your doctor to be sure on that also, because it never helps to get another opinion.

Welcome to acid reflux! It's a common ailment during your final trimester. Tums work well. But you can't take any more then 3 large ones a day. Read the label! :D

yes, mostly when lying down. i think the baby may be rearranging your insides now that you are far along. your stomach may be smaller and your esophagus shorter, so it is easier for food to back up.
