i would probobly try nair or veet but on the package it says no sensitive areas so i wouldn't it will burn your face and leave red marks all over it.. i would continue to do what your doing then save your money up for laser..

I have the same hereditary problem. And nothing due to hormones. I really do not recommend shaving with a razor. Electric is the way to go. Most hair removal creams and or bleaches burn me, so that I cannot use them. Waxing was the most effective removal treat me that i had ever done. However, i strongly urge you to save money and do laser treatment. It is a god send. I cannot explain without writing you an entire book of how much better I feel now than I did six years ago. I cannot go and get the treatments all the time as they usually run about $400 for my face each time. So I go about 1 - 2 times a year. I am now at probaly 8 treatments and the hair is almost gone.

But one thing to be aware of, laser treatment is not for peach fuzz. it will help with the dark hair. Shaving will not change the nature of the peach fuzz into dark man like hair. that is a myth.

You might also want to see if your doctor can perscribe you vaniqa. It is a cream that slows the growth of hair down. I have never used it, but I see it at my doctor's office all the time.

Personally if I were still in the same boat as you, and I couldn't afford to do laser or waxing, I would go back to using my electric shaver. Otherwise, I would save my money up and get laser treatment.

I'm sorry I don't have a solution but oh my god, I did the same thing and the same happened, so I wanted to share with you. I know how embarrased you are, it looked especially bad in the chin area because you could see the dots but the hair wasn't long enough for me to pluck it or shave it. I got 3 laser treatments but it wasn't enough and I still have hair but it comes in normal now. Do you have polycystical ovaries? The endocrynologist thought it had to do with that and it gets a lot of things out of whack- when I produce insulin it stays high too long. It can affect your weight- do you have a problem with that? I don't have a solution for the hair yet, I wish I did. I'm curious, have you had children? I'm wondering if that would help the hormones get back to normal because I can't get pregnant without help from the obgyn giving me something. But I haven't had children. I do shave above my lip and that looks ok.

The huge two choices are razors and depilatory creams (i.E. Nair). My skin bought very aggravated through the usual Nair formula, however I hear Veet is particularly smooth and not as unhealthy-smelling and the hair simply washes away. With razors, the huge trick is to purchase a person's disposable razor rather than females's (the men's are sharper for some cause). Be certain you employ shave gel and then moisturize after.

I am so glad I came across your question, as I am dealing with the same issue. I'm a 25 year old female, and cannot afford the expensive laser treatments either.. so I too started using a razor, thinking it would solve the problem. But as you probably already know, it doesn't make it any better.. only worse, and definately more noticable.

I saw that someone advised you to try the creams for facial hair removal.. and I felt like I really needed to share with you the awful expierence I had with it. I'm pretty sure I was allergic to it, but either way, I'm sure you want to know what *can* happen...

I bought a small pack of the 'Surgi' facial hair remover. I bought it at Wal-Mart, and the box made it look like something that would really be the solution to my problem. It went on about how "gentle" and "painfree" it is. Well, let me tell you.. it was the exact opposite!

Of course, the insert said to "try it first on a small patch" to check for allergic reactions.. but I assumed it would be fine, cause I had used 'Nair' before, with no problems. And with this stuff being meant for your face, I figured that nothing bad would happen. Oh my, was I ever wrong!

I put a thick layer of the cream on my face (the areas where the problems are) as the directions said. I noticed real quick that the smell was just like 'Nair' which to me was odd, cause it was supposed to be so gentle.. and I always thought that the strong chemicals in 'Nair' was part of why it smelled so strongly. But then it started burning, real bad.. like a real bad sunburn or something. That concerned me a lot, so I really read the papers inside.. and looked at the 'after cream'. I figured that maybe the way it was feeling was just normal, and that the 'after cream' would take care of that, and it wouldn't hurt anymore. So, I left it on the remaining time (it says to leave on 4-8 minutes). Then it says to "wipe off gently with a damp cloth".. The very second I began to "gently wipe" it off, the pain was so intense. It literally felt like I was wiping the cream off with sandpaper.. It was awful. I actually got worried that the cream had eaten through my skin, and that it was bleeding.. I checked in the mirror, and thankfully it wasn't THAT bad.. but it still hurt, so much. So, I put on the after cream.. It helped a little, at first. But after it got absorbed into my skin.. the pain all came back. My face was blood red for a good hour or so. It hurt so bad, and stung all evening long, and into the next day as well. It was a very unexpected expierence from something that was supposed to be so "gentle" and "pain free".

I'm sure you're wondering.. after all that, was it worth it? Absolutely not!

The hair came back even worse.. just over a few days. But this time, it's not "smoothe".. It's more prickly, and makes me even more self-concious. It did not work, not at all. Sure, it took it off for that couple days.. And apparantly for it to stay like that, you have to use it, over and over.. which is something I am absolutely not going to do.

So, speaking from my own expierence with facial hair remover.. I very much advise against it. Of course, you may not have any of the issues I had with it, but is it really worth the chance?? My face is still sore from it, and very dry.. It's not something I would ever recommend to anyone else.

I wish there were more options out there to take care of unwanted hair (not just on the face) other than shaving, waxing.. or painful creams. I would really love to find something that is actually gentle, that would help.. without making me feel worse about an already embarrassing problem.

I have to say, I do think that *one day* I'll just give in, and go for the laser removal.. It's sure a lot more appealing than dealing with this problem for the rest of my life. But of course, if I did my face.. I would go ahead and do my legs as well.. and as you probably are aware of, that could get very pricey!

Well, I just wanted to share my story with you. I hope it was helpful in some way.

the tremendous 2 options are razors and depilatory lotions (i.e. Nair). My epidermis were given very aggravated through the unique Nair formulation, yet I listen Veet is fairly comfortable and under no circumstances as undesirable-smelling and the hair only washes away. With razors, the tremendous trick is to purchase a guy's disposable razor quite than females's (the adult adult males's are sharper for some reason). verify you take advantage of shave gel and then moisturize after.

Take a look at the site I provided below, it has Facial Hair Removal Options for Women and in stead of pasting everything here, I think it's important to do some research on this and make a good decision for yourself. Good luck!

ive heard of chiks bleaching it so that its a skin color and hard to see otherwise theres two other options i can think of:
1. that stuff which u leave on for 15min that dissolves the hair then u take it off
2. my sis uses this thing called an epilady which looks like an electric shaver but plucks the hairs out instead of shaving them as it goes along, it sounds kinda painful to me but they seem to do it fine

In the meantime, use bleaching products that are made for women's facial hair on the hair to make it not noticeable. They work pretty darned well. Then, when it's long enough, go back to waxing.

Go to amazon.com. look up "hair off" in and look for this product with the word "mitten" in it. The hair buffs right out! But make sure you use it right after a shower, or else it wont work. Its pretty cheap too.
