I don't know. I can't stand her, she can't act if her life depended on it, she can't sing, and is always in stupid teen flicks. I don't get it.

I agree with the first answerer. It's the "train wreck" factor. People just watch her spinning out of control- waiting to see what she'll do next. Especially after that whole "Be Adequite" fiasco.
I'm still not buying this "rehab" she's doing. She's out shopping, having lunch with friends, and has a masseuse, hairstylist and assistant there. She may have stopped drinking while she's there, but I think her real problem is narcotics. She's getting preferential treatment because of who she is, and it sucks. ***** should be at Betty Ford, but she's doing this for Damage Control.

No clue. Does anyone else have a problem with a 20 year-old going into rehab? How come none of the club owners are fined for having an underage drinker?

She's very popular because she was in two movies that were big hits. In the movie "Freaky Friday", it became a very popular movie in 2003. She was the main character in it too. Same in the Movie "Mean Girls", and "Herbie Fully Loaded". They were both big hits where she was the main character. She became very popular over those three movies.

I wouldn't call her popular.I would call her special.Not that she is she's just been through so many different stages in her life.She's been famous since she was a kid.Remember when she dyed her hair blonde.She just wants attention and it's working.I'm not a fan of her at all though.So that's why she's so popular.

she's popular with the males because she wears no knickers,and opens her legs at every opportunity! i have seen so many photos of her like that in magazines getting out of cars,in bars etc,

I have no idea she's is not even cute she always looks dirty plus she looks like she does have freckles coming out of her vagina (according to Brandon Davis who hangs out with her and the rest of that useless bunch)
