Write to him- everyday. And yes, I am talking about "snail mail". He will appreciate the effort and I guarantee it will put many smiles on his face.

If he/she has a telephone where he/she is now, you can call this friend and talk with him/her for a few minutes about once a week.
I spent a month in the hospital and over 2 months in rehabilitation after an operation and that was what I appreciated the most was being able to talk with friends and family.

Write to him as often as you can. Look out for postcards that would make him smile. Stamps don't cost a lot, and I'm sure he would appreciate hearing from you. I'm so sorry about your friend, and my thoughts go out to you as well. I know what it's like to lose loved ones to this horrible disease, and feel both saddened and helpless.

Write him a letter, or record a tape talking to him about all the good times you two had together. It will make them smile and laugh. It is a good thing to remind them of the good times.

just pray for him and call or write him. because sometimes it is not what you can do financially but, the fact that you really do care and i'm sure he's not looking for finacial help he probably just wants to know that someone cares enough about him to want to even try to help him. i know that i don't know you but i will even try and pray for the both of you. i wish you good luck in life and in all the things that you do.

Go some place and buy as many post cards , funny ones, sentimental ones, cute ones, etc., they are cheaper to mail than anything else, and mail him one a wk, or maybe 2... this will lift his spirits and let him know you are thinking and praying for him...... God bless

With no money, the best you can do is show your love and support. You can achieve that by phone calls, cards, letters. You don't have to be there, but let him know you care deeply.
