RC cars help car will not start when on the ground?

my RC car will not start if it is on the ground but when i lift it in the air it will start then max out. but then i put it on the ground and it stalls

Well more info would make it easier to give an accurate answer. If it is electric possibly a bad motor or battery. If it is a nitro I would guess a bad clutch bearing or sticking clutch shoes.

You didnt say if it was battery or other.I will guess battery and that it is weak.Charge it and you should be good to go.
