The purpose of this question is to answer a curiosity of mine regarding 2 movies: Gladiator and Troy. Therefore, the fight goes like this: Russell Crowe as Maximus from the movie Gladiator vs. Brad Pitt as Aquiles from the movie Troy. Who do you think will win? I myself put my money on Russell Crowe!=)

Okay, I like Crowe much much better.
But if we are going character vs. character then achillies would defeat maximus and I think it would be quite easily.
He was mythological and nearly undefeatable. He was touched by the gods for "God's" sake.

Brad Pitt looks good in Troy but muscles wise I'd have to go with Russell. After all if we were to think this was real, gladiators fought with animals and other gladiators, where as soldiers fought anotehr soldiers at war.
