We are looking to take a 4 or 5 day vacation somewhere in March with our two children. One is 3 and the other is 1. Not too expensive, but something all of us will enjoy. We will be driving where ever it is we are going. Any ideas?

My kids go everywhere with us and love it. It inspires learning and new thinking even if they dont remember it much later. (the 3 year old will remember more than you think)

Thye also know they are important to you now and when they look back on teh family pictures, so take lots of them and put them in an album.

tell us where you are driving from. Is there a good city with waterparks and zoos, and sigtseeing trolley rides or river cruises near you? Mine love train rides and subways too - just not at rush hours.

Public parks and bird feeding. Public art and architecture give you a chance to observe someting unique and them to enjoy the outdoors. There are also many childrens interactive museums that are fun for adults too.

National parks are another possibility, I wouldnt camp out with a diaper baby though.

The Carriage House in Las Vegas

a review that is close to your situation

Absolutely loved the one-bedroom suite, plenty of room for my husband and I, our 2-year-old AND my parents!! We stayed for 5 nights and found the location absolutely perfect for what we wanted in Vegas which was a shopping and sight-seeing, non-gaming holiday. Not only did we have the 2-year-old but I was also 3 months pregnant (and feeling sick) and still there are NO COMPLAINTS about the distance from the hotel to the strip - we walked everywhere in Vegas! Compliments to Joey's Bistro upstairs for the lovely "traditional" Thanksgiving dinner - the service staff were fabulous with our daughter! Just a tip: Use The Deuce bus service to get around places that are too far to walk. And, take a visit to the Las Vegas Outlet Centre if you want some good bargain shopping! Thanks again Carriage House - if we ever come back (WITHOUT THE KIDS) we will stay again!

If you live in the south or southern CA., you could take the kids camping--By then the weather could be nice and if you do it fairly close to home, you can return if it rains, etc. If you live in the north--just stay in a hotel near home or in the next town away. Try to get ne with kitchen facilities or at least a free breakfast. Take the kids to the palygrounds or whatever is free intown. they will just like being with you.

the most glaring might want to be Disneyworld or Disneyland, thinking the position you stay precisely. each and every infant needs to bypass to Disney. I do listen that's overpriced, yet once you imagine about it; what destination isn't? you do not ought to go with the help of a go back and forth agent to get resorts, airline tickets, condo autos, and so on. All you should do is bypass to Yahoo go back and forth, Travelocity, Expedia, and so on. you may form on your destination and it will be self-explanatory from there. also, they in certain circumstances provide vacation programs to help keep income case you blend hotel/airline. we've continuously used on-line amenities and not using a go back and forth agent, and issues have continuously run easily. have relaxing consisting of your spouse and youngsters, even with you pick to do!

i know you want to include your children in this and it is very nice of you.. but they will not remember it and the one yr will tire you both out and not enjoy it at all.... i would recommend them staying with grandma. or you just taking them to a zoo for the day.. and do this when they are older..if you really want a vacation then leave them with family and go and enjoy your selfs.. i know this sounds selfish .. but think about it.. taking a small child on a vacation ..who is it for you or them.. do they really remember and will they really enjoy it...they would enjoy being spoiled by grandma or auntie more
