A homeopath is someone who practices homeopathy. This is a method of healing which is based on principles of healing the whole person.

It has been in use, often in tandem with conventional medicine, for the past 200 years and the "medicine" is drawn from the plant, mineral and animal kingdoms.

For example Belladonna is derived from deadly nightshade.

The medicine is like a vaccination- a boost of the immune system using an ultra diluted substance to promote the body's ability to deal with it and the associated conditions- someone who is feverish with dilated pupils might be given Belladonna (which is a poison in its raw form and which has those symptoms in those who take it pure).

Due to the way it has been prepared not even a single molecule of the active substance remains. Because in homeopathy the "weaker" the potion the stronger the reaction (cure). More diluted means stronger! Its a funny old world...

While some simply do not believe it works, children and pets have proven time and time again that it is more than a placebo.

:-)

I'd just like to take this superb opportunity to say that I regrettably am unable to answer your fine question because I have absolutely and incontrovertably no knowledge of the answer to the same, and am unlikely to become furnished with such in the short or medium term future.
