Why would there be a conscientious objector if there is no draft?? If you didn't agree with the war you wouldnt go in to begin with. So those in Iraq now, if they skipped to Canada or elsewhere the cowards are considered deserters and get citizenship in the big house. Unlike what they should do to them like send them to the front lines like the cowards they are. It doesn't matter if the president is for or against the war a law is a law. Do you know what its like to spend the rest of your life as a deserter?!

Conscientious objector status is different than having a change of heart after you sign up. Sorry, but if you sign on the dotted line, then you are obligated. You can, however sign up for conscientious objector status while in the military, but if you go AWOL, sorry, you deserve every thing you get.

Why should they? Carter did it after Vietnam & this was a slap to every veteran who served honorably. Just remember when all of these big "names" say they object like then Classius Clay a.k.a. "Ali" SOMEBODY else had to take their place. How do you libs justify that?

They have US citizenship now, they're just deserters.
