A customer came in today with an Amex gift card "supposedly" good at a Mall other than the one where my job is located. The terms and conditions of the card say it must be used only at stores located at the other Mall which also accept Amex. However, when we rang it up, the transaction was accepted by Amex. Will this come back to bite the store on the proverbial behind? I really need to know asap because $100+ worth of sales depends on what happens next (possibly even my job). Thanks.

I don't think it will end up hurting you as really those mall gift
gift cards are really the same as an American express gift card
itself..
which is good anywhere
(I learned this one when I visited a mall in Sacramento I was
told yes "technically' you are not *suppose* to use the gift card at another mall.. but you could as its really a American express gift card)
