The other day, me and my trusted friend Algebrand were out in the countryside looking for crop circles when we came upon a far stranger phenomenon::sheep, country-dancing. Algebrand, whose appreciation of Morris dancing is second-to-none, said their steps were perfect.

If we had not met the farmer crossing the field on our way back to the Ford Capri, we would have simply put the experience down to the hallucinatory effects of all the Chamomile tea we had imbibed in our crazy youth.

However, the farmer went on to tell us a far more extraordinary story. Apparently, one of his farm hands (not known for his cerebral sharpness) had left a largely unfinished 'Rubric's Cube' in the field. Next day, he returned to find that 'all the pretty colours were now on the same side'. The only explanation the farmer could think of (and both Algebrand and I concur with him) is that it must have been the work of those nimble-minded sheep.

i personally believe sheep are indeed really clever, i mean lets face it a rubrics cube, i am so impressed, and morris danciing is so hard even when your inebriated with camomile tea, so hats off to the sheep. may they find good grazing where ever they lay their hankies and bells!

that's possibly one of the most amusing anecdotes i've ever heard.

"According to a spokesperson of the British National Sheep Association, "Sheep are quite intelligent creatures and have more brainpower than people are willing to give them credit for."

however, sheep can be afflicted by something called "foot-and-mouth disease". judging solely from the name of this disease, i'd have to question their depth of intelligence.

,
Watson, this is a two pipe question!
When I was investigating that Patagonian matter you so kindly reported in the public prints I asked one of the locals (a sheep) the very same question: the answer?
"Baaaaaa; Ba! Ba?".
{English version = "Of course I know: but why should I tell you?".}
Regards,
Basilisk.

No way to tell who did it, but one thing is certain: it wasn't the sheep.
