the worst things are the drivers. no one and i mean NO ONE knows how to drive in this state! if it starts to rain, everyone slows down to like 15mph. one one knows how to merge & every day in my commute i pass at least three accidents. so there's constantly traffic back ups. if everyone would learn to drive, then there wouldn't be such a problem. other then that phoenix is pretty cool - oh lots of homeless people & they panhandle constantly. just say no & walk by. they even stand at the end of the highway exits asking for money. too much meth in town & it's causing a lot of crime & homelessness. but if you stay out of crime & know how to manuver around the horrible traffic, you'll LOVE it. palm trees, swimming year round, skinny, beautiful people. it's a lot of fun.

The best thing is the weather from Oct. to May. The worse thing is the weather from June to Sept. You also have to remember that Phoenix has alot of little towns on the outskirts that are nice to live in too.

My aunt lives there and I never hear any bad things for as long as I have known her. I'd imagine, though, that if you aren't used to the heat, that would take some getting accustomed to.
