We used to get along- but now (3 years later) we have a 2 yr. old, and all of a sudden my husband is completely into politics, books, etc... When we first met, he was fun, wanted to go see movies, go out once in a while... and I'm 22- So I still want to do those things- but he doesn't. anybody else have an age gap- and dont really have the same interests anymore??

yeah, it happens to everyone, whether their married or not, he's just maturing and he had all of his good times out partying with his friends and you, now he's pretty much unconsiously settling down

There are 3 years between hubby and me. Having kids changes the relationship big time. You are concentrating on your child as you should. He may be feeling a little jelous since you and he used to be exclusive. Things will even out over time. Marriage is not easy at any age. We have been together 17 years now and we go through our times where we just don't have a thing in common. I am at home with the kids and he works. He can't relate to my end or my his at times. It's common. You two need to have a date night for just you and him.

He is probably getting serious about life since he has a child and wife. He only wants what is best for your fam. Many people are not as lucky.

some people mature quicker than others, this happens allot its not the age difference good luck with your marriage

you must work to develop a common interest
something you both like to do...
find something you can both be interested in and are willing to do...
maybe a book club etc?
