This is a horrid question (not yours, I presume, but some teacher's). First off, there are no "sets" here, just single names. A is just silly. B and C are practically equivalent to each other, and both imply that British Catholics were loyal to foreign monarchs. As for D, Mary was married to Philip until her death.
