I am looking for a pattern to make a pillow in the shape of a train for my son who loves trains.

Look in the Simplicity and McCall's pattern books. They have a section called "Home Decor," I think. If you are unable to find one, try to find a simple picture of a train in a coloring book. Trace and enlarge the picture to make a pattern, including seam allowance, until you get it the size you want.

A sewing shop that sells fabrics and patterns should have something like that.
