Can you buy prepaid minutes on the phone? If you don't get the phone or the internet, is there any monthly fee?

Yes, PDA's do have phones, even if theyre not blackberrys. Palm Treos and Pocket PC's such as the motorola q and audiovox 6700 are PDA's with excellent voice and data service. To my knowledge, you can't get prepaid voice minutes on a pda, you have to have a package, although you CAN get pay-as-you-go data. You can also choose to get just data (internet) or just voice. Or you can buy the PDA outright without a contract and then no, there is no monthly fee and no phone or internet service. It will just be more expensive for the device itself. If you choose not to get any service, just go directly to the palm website and order one of their PDA's without internet or voice capabilities...it'll save you loads of money. Hope I helped!

A PDA does not have a phone, unless it is a blackberry. ;)

Once you have a cell modem, you can surf the net. Alternatively, you can use WiFi to link to the net - if you're at a hotspot. Pay per call anywhere, or free but uncommonly available. Your choice.
