I went to cash a check at a bank that I'm not a member. They required my thumbprint. The check was for $27.50.

Is that a bit much or is that just me?

not at all, with all the fraud these days, they have to protect themselves.

no its a good idea, if you are ever a victim off identity thieves you will want to track them down, having a finger print that you can match up with other evidence is very help full in tracking down these low life people.
