In the bible jealousy is love. Only it is the negative side of it. it (love/jealousy) is as strong as death, either it sweeps or yields

How do you overcome it? it is on a case to case basis. Chances are, you may not be able to get rid of it if the root cause of jealousy is overly used to harm that person's ego (test of faith, trust, love etc)

Yes being jealous is part of loving but if your relationship is strong being jealous is a quick and easy thing to overcome. If your love is srong you know you can trust the other person and you know the other person trusts you. In return you both wouldnt do something to ruin the love and trust you built so being jealous is just a waste of time. If something or someone bothers you, talk to your 'other half', they should understand and you can work through it together.

I have been jealous a few times in my marriage, but I confide in my spouse and tell him how I feel and he is sure to ease my mind of the thoughts that go racing....we all know how that feels :(

Best of Luck....and I am sure you are wonderful and have no need to be jealous anyways!

the pure love cannot contain anything else, just the pleasure of giving; still there are several types of love: some are combined with jealousy, hate and so on; anyway the true love exist only as an idea and in our malicious world it is mixed with so many other ideas; i believe that jealousy is a disease and can be controlled

Jealousy is a flaw that can ruin an otherwise beautiful relationship.

The noun Jealousy, stems from related envy. Envy is the desire to have something that is possessed by another. In relationships, jealousy can be synonymous to fear of losing someone or something to another person. Jealousy is directly related to insecurity and is compared to Envy (one of the seven deadly sins). Envy resents the good others might receive.

Overcoming Jealousy is not easy. It is essential to search yourself and ask what it is you are in fear of losing. Then, you must determine if you have the strength to begin to Trust.

Jealousy is not part of love, it's an insecurity within oneself.
It's hard to overcome, but love yourself and then insecurities will fade.
Boo to the green-eyed monster!

Jealousy is the worst feeling anyone can have. Reason: Jealousy borns hate and hate borns evil. In the other hand, love conquers all and love was born from our Heavenly Father. Guess who rules jealousy and hate.

I understand jealousy as far as wanting to spend time that you can't and resentment in that aspect, but as far as directing those feelings towards other women (if you're female, or men if you're male, (transpose if you're gay)) always remember that what you have to offer someone is unique since you are a one of a kind item. The definition of what is priceless in the world is if there is only one of a kind. What two people share can not be duplicated anywhere in the world with anyone else.

This is a most serious question which has plagued man since the beginning of written history and therefore, probably since boys and girls discovered the exquisite differences in themselves and since the first time one guys girl ran off with another guy or vice versa.
I have experienced this excruciating pain myself and had to learn to develop an attitude of " what the hell, if she doesn't want to be with me then I sure can't make her love me " and move on. There's another bus coming down the street in 10 minutes.
You just have to learn to tolerate other peoples bullshi* I guess and don't do anything stupid to yourself or others.
