I wanted something that has a large selection of different types of food, and a nice restaurant. I want something nicer than Red Lobster, but not way expensive (we are college students, lol)
Preferrably something that is in Buckhead/Downtown Atlanta.

Go to the Virginia Highland's area. Go to Murphy's and enjoy a WONDERFUL meal. Good selection and you will not be disappointed at all. After you do that take a stroll down the sidewalks and window shop or stop in the stores and enjoy looking at what in-town shopping is all about.
If you don't do Murphy's there are other places right there to choose from. Another is Highland Tap, or Everybody's Pizza.

Buckhead/Downtown area has the Spaghetti factory and the Cheesecake factory, it can get crowded cuz everyone wants to get in. Make a reservation in advance is my advice, and bring plenty money
