Here again rises the champion of the people..a representative who actually represents government of, for, and by the people...works for his constiuents wishes and benefits.
Yesterday I attended the antiwar rally against the escalation of troops in Washington DC. People of all states, countries, religions. races, and ages attended; estimates of crowd size were between 100,000 to 500,000 people all speaking out with one voice. There as one of the speakers was Dennis Kucinich speaking with passion and wisdom as always.
Just as Columbus, Ohio (a crucial state in elections) loses talk radio due to clear channel, trying to sway the vote with more Republican propaganda and silencing what it going on in politics by muzzling the other side, along comes Dennis Kucinich to form a committee to study reenacting the fairness doctrine in the midst of media conglomerates growing in power to sway the branches of government to the side that most benefits them, even while it is hurting the little guy.
Please see this article about it
http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20070117-8640.html
Also see him speak about the fairness doctrine on TV with Lou Dobbs and Tucker Carson.

Only one candidate showed up at the single payer health care rally in Columbus--Dennis
Only one candidate was against the war from the start with the foresight and wisdom to see through the lies from the beginning - Dennis
Only one candidate backs up his antiwar beliefs by voting against war appropriations and has a plan for immediate withdrawal -Dennis
Only one candidate has heard the voting rights activists and introduced legislation to have all presidential elections on hand counted at the precinct paper ballots that if past can later be amended to cover all high offices. (HB 6200 please ask representatives to co-sign and support the bill)-Dennis
Only one candidate has a vision for a department of peace addressing violence on multiple levels-Dennis
Only one candidate wants to cut the defense department budget by 25% and use the money to give universal health care, free college and universal preschool, and clean water to all the people of the world and have plenty of money to spare for other programs to help people-using the money for good not evil-Dennis
Only one candidate wants to give third parties a chance through IRV and do other election and campaign finance to lesson corruption and increase fairness and make media reforms such as breaking up media comglomerates-Dennis
Whether it is against media consolidation, agribusinesses, GMO foods, outsourcing jobs, withdrawing from NAFTA and the WTO, reversing the patriot act, doing campaign finance, free TV for politicians getting corporate money out of politics, universal health care including alternative and complimentary modalities, stopping the use of depleted uranaium and doing health care for victims and environmental cleanup, implementing IRV, reducing the military defense budget, free college and preschool and a host of other issues and votes in congress, Dennis is on the right side and the side of the people. Go here to see his stand on the issues and judge their superiority http://kucinich.us/issues
He has the intelligence, decency, honesty, compassion, wisdom, incorruptibility, diplomacy, appeal to diverse groups of people, and courage to lead the country out of the mess.
He has been compared in articles to Abe Lincoln, Bobby Kennedy, Ganhdi, Roosevelt, and Martin Luther King.
The only thing he needs is your support and vote. As he said last election, "I am electable if you vote for me."
He will not get the press he needs but I hear his name coming up more frequently on call ins to progressive radio....he needs the people to be the media. Please tell people about Dennis and look around his website at kucinich.us
We deserve the best and he, in my opinion, excels over the rest of the democratic contenders. The media has written him off before he had started..I hope the people won't..he gained tremendous grassroots activism and enthusiasm last election despite less than 1% coverage. People who never campaigned were campaigning for him and people were cheering at every speech so much. The excitment in the air was palpable.
The more people who know about Dennis and his issue positions, the more his name will spread like wildfire. Please spread his platform to others. We need the best to get us out of this mess. Dennis is the one.

Kucinich: also the only candidate who was once ousted from one of his elected offices by a recall vote (when he was mayor back in the 70s).
{edit} I'll correct myself in one way -- he barely survived the recall vote during his two-year term as mayor, but he nonetheless was defeated for re-election as mayor. And you're almost right about his comeback. He wasn't elected mayor again, but he was elected to the City Council in 1983. In addition to his successful wins to the City Council (first time in 1969) and as mayor, he had 4 unsuccessful attempts to win a seat in the House (1972, 1974, 1988, and 1992). Then Kucinich was elected state Senator in 1994 and finally won election to the House in 1996.

That's more exit strategies than Kerry, Kennedy, Pelosi, Hillary, Obama, and Edwards have offered altogether.

And the only candidate with the courage and conviction to attend yesterday's peace march in Washington. Let's hope the anti-war vote is able to see through the hype and figure out who is REALLY going to end the war.
