Karaoke would be a blast. Going to night clubs is something 18 year olds do unless the club is a more mature group. Go out for a nice dinner, maybe see a play, hit the karaoke and chill out in a nice lounge with pool tables.

Karaoke is cool if some of your friends will participate. Mass consumption of alcohol helps people get the courage to sing and/or make a fool out of themselves, but it's all in fun. Night club is a bad idea if some of your friends don't dance, they'll get bored fast. Karaoke can be entertaining even if you don't sing.

I would definitely go to a karaoke bar. I think that you and your friends will have allot more fun.
