so i'm a size small to medium and i've been looking for a classic pea coat for about 3 months now. i've been to all dept stores and i've searched online as well but i have not found any. the ones i have found are over 100 bucks and are too long or have too much going on. i'm looking for a simple black classic short lenght pea coat? anyone have an idea of where i can look?

victoriassecret.com. click on Clothing and then Outerwear on the left side. there's some classic peacoats/tab coats that are really nice.

for a truly authentic peacoat go to a navy surplus store as mentioned by somebody else above. they are usually 100 bucks tops. they are the true original and are very warm as they are used by the navy. i saw one that looked just like my old one from eddie bauer and it was probably way better at the navy surplus store.

Try eddiebauer's website or lands end also make great peacoats.

I've seen them at Old Navy. I don't know how much they are, but Old Navy is generally quite inexpensive. Might try army/navy stores too.

A Navy surplus store should have the perfect thing and affordable, too.
