The other day I was playing with my puppy and saw an image when I blinked my eyes. This image had nothing to do with what I was doing or what I was thinking about. Does this have meaning?

The image was a bonobo, Kanzi to be more specific (odd I know). Hes not in the house so I doubt there was an image residue.

Unless it's a residue of something you've just seen (like what other answerers are saying about when we look nearly at the sun), it shows that your creativity is working. The image has popped up from your subconscious. It could have personal meaning, especially if you get the same image frequently, and one way to explore what meaning would be to draw it and then close your eyes and carry on drawing and be aware of what you see or imagine the moment you reopen them (before you start thinking about it).

It depends i think. If you were in the sun and looked at the brightness, and then when you closed your eyes sometimes this can happen as your brain gets tricked by your eyes. I dont know if you have heard of this, but there was an email circulated recently where you had to stare at your computer screen with some dots and shapes on it, and then close your eyes and you could actually see an image of jesus when your eyes were closed. It happens when light and shapes confuse your brain i think. It was probably just something along the same lines as that!

hai. i am a doctor's sister. so i somewhat know about it.
when u see an image, the image falls on the retina and then goes to brain. u need not worry about that u feel because that's just an optical illusion. if an object was just in a state to fall on retina,
and if u close ur eyes, u will see those things.
so if u wanna close your eyes u must do it gently so that u can maintain your eyes in a proper way.

maybe your brain was trying to tell you something. it depends on what the image was to know what.
if it wasn't anything then it may have been the sun playing trick on you.
