rain is vapor in the sky wich condenses then falls.
dew is moisture alread in the air
that means it doesnt fall from the sky because it was never there
it merely condenses onto surfaces

water falling from sky = rain, water condensing from air = dew.

well dew is actually condensation, when the grass is hot and the cool air touches it, it creates dew.
