It may not increase the dollar value of the house (per se) but it may make it more marketable. I personally wouldn't buy a house unless it has 200 amp service. I don't want any power hassles and it makes it more future-proof.

If I were to come into your neighborhood and look for a house to buy I'd expect every house I viewed to have the basics, running water, gas for cooking and heating the house and "electricity". It's not a luxury something extra.
When a home is built it has to have certain strengths of electricity so different appliances can operate. Some things in the home run on low power and other things like a dryer needs higher amps.
Your electricity is something that is expected to meet the city's building codes. The home has to be inspected and pass in order for someone to live in the house without the danger of the electricity not being installed right and causing a fire.
If you were adding a extra room to the house like a family room to give the family added space that would make the home more valuable.

None. Basically the realtor said that the house already has electric service, and upgrading it will not increase the value.

It probably wouldn't increase it all unless it was a really huge house or something on the property that needed that much juice.

NOT AT ALL: Nobody cares, as long as the electricity work no one cares what type of service there is.
