just click start and on the side of that bar that popped up it will either say home or buissness

A simple way to do this is to view a screensaver that comes with your computer. The one that has a black screen and the windows logo bounces a round and says windows xp and the version you are operating with. Also you can check the details of your computer by right clicking on my computer.

When you boot up your computer before the welcome screen comes on theres a screensaver that says Windows XP (insert Home or Professional here.)

go to your desktop, right click on your my computer, then select the last option "propertise"...in there click General tab, it tells you everything....i think you have windows xp home edition because you are not in that level to have a profesional version, otherwise you knew that :)

click start, run, and type in dxdiag, a dialogue box may appear click yes, then a screen will appear named direct x diagnostic tool, look for operating system and it should tell you there

just got to control panel/performance and maintenance/ and see basic info on computer...it will tell you there, or u can go to run, and run "dxdiag"
