Its a debate that will be on the table until we pull out. Right now there is some rumor and specs that if we continue with the current war, or any war for that matter we will have to resort to other methods of supplying manpower in the next two to three years.

This is on the table because the current population of troops have been run through almost to the point of breaking.

The biggest concern will not be the current war in Iraq but the next conflict. People are weary of the army and the biggest fallout of this war will be the drop in future enlistment, which could resort to the draft in the future.

Also, to the man who says he is too old for the draft, he should be careful of what he says. In the possibility of a major global conflict the draft could surface with new age boundaries.

No they tried to reinstate it in Oct of 2004, but Rep Phil English casted the deciding vote to deny it.

And it was reproposed on Nov 20, 2006 by Rep. Charles Rangel of New York, and quickly shot down
