Christina Aguilera calls herself Xtina for two reasons:
1. It is a nickname
2. She used it when she wanted to rebel against her sugary and bubbly blond pop star image at the beginning of her career. Xtina is a symbol that she grew up into a sultry and independent woman.

She thinks she's being cute. Like instead of writing out Christmas some people will use Xmas.
I don't know if she's trying to make some kind of statement but I don't think many people really care.

I didn't know she did but it's probably to do with Christmas - which most pagans will call Xmas , trying to take Christ out of Christmas.

Maybe she don't want to have her name to do with Christ. People put an X there for Christ for Christmas. Like Xmas.
