It'll take a while, especially since it was a 2 year deal.
If I were you, I'd take a little time away from relationships and dating. Figure out what you really want, and allow yourself time to get over your ex. Reconnect with friends; start concentrating on hobbies; do all the things you've always wanted to do. Just stay away from romantic entanglements with the opposite sex.
I've heard that it takes you at least half the length of time spent in a relationship to get over it. Good luck.

Well, if you dont resolve it you will break down your current relationship. I supose it has to do with the way you broke up? What was the reason? Then the amount of time you allowed for healing before entering into another relationship........If you didn't do the whole finding yourself again, licking your wounds and keeping your chin up then you are not living just going through the motions. You will keep repeating the same mistakes and attracting the same people for relationships. Find your inner self and work on that for a while. You cant be with someone else if you dont enjoy your own company.

You must still be in love with her, or haven't yet dealt with the end of the relationship.
Everyone thinks about their ex's as it is in your past and you would have memories etc.
Your new gf deserves you to only think about the ex sometimes otherwise you may just be replacing the ex instead of being in love with the current gf.

Maybe it isn't the best idea to get involved in another relationship when you aren't over the last one. Try and take some time by yourself so you can get over your ex-girlfriend.

Make yourself fall in love with your current gf. Obviously, if you are still thinking about your ex, its because you are not really into your current gf. Also, get rid of things, pictures, gifts and contact info from her. I know its gona be hard at first, but eventually it will get easier!!

You can't get over your ex because you guys were together for two and a half years. That's a long time.In my opinion I don't think you're ready for another gf because if you still think about your ex then you shouldn't have another gf.

because you two were together for so long its just gonna be hard getting used to not having her there. so just let go of her. its gonna be hard but u need to. one thing to help u would to pack away all the things shes ever given u. its okay to go back on memories but dont stay in the past too long its bad for ur future.

sorry to hear that.
i was the same with my ex. it took me 2 years to get over it.
in the end i just allowed myself to forget all the good times, and all the unresolved stuff. For me it was the things left unsaid.... i still think about him, but in friendship kinda way. he just had the power to make me pine for him.

sounds like you were in real love. If you want the old one back call her, don't do this to the current one. Be honest and take time to heal be fair to her and yourself.
