Tough one to call, both are faster than light speed. During one series, the Surfer escaped a Black Hole, that's impressive. The Flash is limited. He can run faster than light, and provided he has something to run on, and air to breathe, he might be able to run through space as fast as the Surfer. The Flash can travel to different dimensions by moving fast enough, but escape a Black Hole and remain in this dimension, no can do. Gotta give it to Norrin Radd

I think people are ignoring the fact that the Silver Surfer spans huge distances ACROSS SPACE on just a surf board, in a short amount of time... If you were to compare that to the distances on EARTH the Flash can run to - in 10 minutes - and compare how far the Silver Surfer can fly in that same amount of time, you'll find that the Silver Surfer is indeed faster.

The Flash may RUN faster, but if allowed to use full powers, the Silver Surfer would smoke the Flash any day. He's got the full Power Cosmic!

Now this is the first time I looked at a question on the boards and didn't have an exact answer. Both of them can travel much faster than light speed but I'm not sure who would win in a race. I'm giving it to the Surfer though because he can travel through any environment (you don't see the Flash travel through hyperspace).

As far as I know, they’ve never competed, but I must say, that would certainly be a race where both of them could cut loose. Not like those Flash-Superman races, where they had to hold back.
My money’s on the Flash, in that his specialty is speed, whereas, with the Silver surfer, he has to use part of the Power Cosmic for speed and part of other things, like life support or attack and defense.

The Silver Surfer, all the way!!! The guy flies between stars at LIGHT SPEED every day! If the Flash travels at light speed, he merges with the Speed Force.

The Flash can run faster. The Surfer would need his board, but when it comes to whining about Zenn-La, missing Shalla Bal, or grousing about being trapped in this galaxy, the Surfer reigns supreme.

are you kidding me its in the name flash the fastest man alive....the only person who can match up is zoom who is the evil version..and superman but superman is only as fast as flash if he flies on foot no contest flash all the way
