bearshare is illegal, i also heard that someone downloaded 5 songs form bearshare and 4 of them had viruses. limewire is also illegal but in general limewire contains much less viruses. You can prevent viruses by after you download a song on limewire or bareshare going to the folder and right clicking and pressing "scan with (whatever virus protector program you have)."

no. it falls into the same rank as limewire. bearshare does not cause viruses on your computer. you do have to be careful because programs such as those do have adware and spyware. the items that could be infected are the ones you ILLEGALLY download.

Bearshare is illegal. In terms of viruses, it depends on who you are downloading from, some people will post viruses and if you download them you will then have the virus.

i heard of bearchare, but I dont know. bear share has been around like in the 90's, that and napster, ahhh the good old days man.
