I think that's a really nice idea, actually!
Many people find funerals very morbid (obviously), but it's nice to show that you can take death with a pinch of salt.
For instance, if you wanted to play 'Don't Stop Me Now', I think that would be a lot more beautiful than a very sombre song, because you are regarding death as a time of celebration, that you may rest happily in peace and that you are blissfully 'entering the after life'.
Now, I'm not one for great religious spirituality, but I really don't think you'd offend anybody - it's like going out with a grand finale. I'd say you would be embracing your friends and family even more that way....

i think a funeral is to reflect on you i burried my husband a couple years ago i made it all bout him he was huge into metal we played it loud after i know he woulda been proud and no one coplained they all thought it was great because it was reflacting on him make it how you want it
