It's a version of Jack and the Beanstalk from the 90's. I think Fred Savage is in it. He ends up killing the giant by stabbing it with a flagpole after he drugged it with a gummy bear.

I know what you are talking about. NOBODY else remember this movie and it's nowhere to be found on the internet. I swear Fred Savage was in it so it's weird it's not on his IMDB.
