When I was back in America visiting my granny, we would sit together and watch the shows every morning. They remind her of her life when she was a child, so they have very special meaning for me. :)

I've written a book of my granny's childhood stories, actually - family memoirs. It was such a different time 100 years ago, and it makes me wonder if modern conveniences are really worth it, if they really do make life "better."

I miss quality television like that, so I don't watch TV much at all. I haven't read the books in a LOOOOOOOONG time, so thanks for reminding me.

I read the entire series when I was little. And I read Laura Ingall Wilder's biography as an adut. I love those books! They were my favourite along with A Little Princess and the Chronicles of Narnia.

Unfortunately, I can't see the show you're mentioning, because I live in Italy and don't get Hallmark! Darn!

I used to watch that all the time, but have not seen it for a while. I have most of the books: Big Woods, Prairie, Farmer Boy, Plum Creek, Silver Lake, Long Winter, Little Town on the Prairie, Golden Years, and the First Four Years. Also have a book called West from Home, which is a book containing letters that Laura wrote. Although I have not read them for years and years (read them when I was a kid)

convinced, I genuinely did! I loved them, too. i do not recognize that I had a favourite e book, yet I loved quite a few episodes. I loved it even as the females were given to make maple sugar sweet interior the snow; I loved it even as Ma used tale illustrations to save the females busy; and that i became so scared and unhappy even as all and sundry were given ill and Mary grew to grow to be blind. It made me comprehend how fortunate we are to have good wellbeing care immediately, and jointly it made me nostalgic for a time in which I under no circumstances lived. i am going to't wait until eventually my little ones are previous sufficient to ascertain the memories to them!

I read the series when I younger. I had all the books and gave them to my niece when she was born. I didn't really watch the show that much. I like reading better than watching tv

The TV show is good, thanks to wonderful writing and Micheal Landon, but it is based on the books not actually from the books. They are wonderful to read...I enjoyed them when I was a kid and I couldn't wait until my girls read them. There is a museum (at her farm) in Missouri where she eventually settled, lived and died with Almanzo.
