i've just sent you an invite. [spamcya]
:: if you weren't aware, if you're in the uk and try to sign up for an @gmail.com account it will default to @googlemail.com since google check the physical location of your pc.
you'll need to use the signup link in a proxy, such as:
http://www.vtunnel.com
http://anonymouse.org/anonwww.html
this will trick google into thinking you're in america, and so you'll be assigned a @gmail.com address instead.

Google is distributing invites to people with cell phones that have SMS capabilities and only in certain countries, United States being one of them. However, if you don't have a cell phone that receives text messaging (SMS) or don't know anyone who already has a Google Mail account who can send you an invite code, there are sites that offer free invites.
Check your more popular search engines and look for "Google Mail Invite Code". You'll be surprise with the amount of available sites offering invite codes.
e.g. http://www.highwayman.org/gmail is such a site that offers Google Mail invites.
