Well, dunking isn't against the rules in any basketball I can think of.....LOL....
But there are women that have dunked in basketball.....Lisa Leslie did it twice, if I remember correctly, and there's this lady named Candice Parker who plays for the University of Tennessee that has dunked several times already this season.
But the main reason you don't see a lot of women dunking in basketball is because you gotta remember that physically, women are generally smaller than men. Think about it----in the NBA, most centers and power forwards are close to 7 feet tall. In the WNBA, 6'5"-6'7" is usually the tallest the players are. (although in both leagues, there are exceptions, like Yao Ming in the NBA, who is 7'5", and Margo Didek in the WNBA, who is 7'2".)
And that rim is still 10 feet off of the ground in both leagues, so naturally, it will be harder for women (who are generally shorter, as I've stated already) to dunk......unless you've got crazy hops, like Nate Robinson (the 5'9" guy who won the NBA's slam dunk contest last year).....

Obviously you have not been keeping up the last few years. There are a few women in the WNBA that can dunk (Lisa Leslie, Michelle Snow, Sylvia Crawley). I imagine they just don't most of the time. I have not seen a woman dunk with ease like University of Tennessee's Candace Parker though......you should check one of their games out.

There are some women who can dunk. It's just because, like someone else stated, women are generally smaller and shorter than men, so it's harder to dunk at a 10 ft rim. If they lowered the rim to 9 ft for women's games, I think a lot more women would be dunking.

It is hard for women because of the muscle development to be able to dunk that is the muscles for leaping are not as much developed as a male. But there is one woman able to dunk and that was Lisa Leslie of the LA Sparks.

Lisa Leslie of the Sparks was able to dunk the ball. She is the only WNBA player to do it.

for one because its much easier to do a layup, 2 maybe they aren't obsessed with acting macho macho, its 2 points either way, and maybe that's why also that the rest of the world has caught up with american basketball, americans are concerned with how hard they dunk the ball, while the other teams are concentrating on how to score the most points.

Why would you watch that ****? I think you just like to see a different type of bouncing if you catch my drift. Anyway, I don't think that they are allowed to. It is against the rules.
