To win. If an NBA player actually goes into a game wondering how many points he's gonna get, then that players mind set is in the wrong place. Some players in the NBA seem to thik about scoring, but I think the goal of all great players is to win.

No doubt it's to win the NBA Championship. They want the wins, the fame, the glory, the ring, the trophy, the fact that they can say they were champions. That's what it's all about for great players. They all have that same goal to win the championship. And it was definitely Michael Jordan's goal also.

I think jordan scored as many points he could in a nite every time he played. but if he had to get 10 assists to win a game he'd do it.

basketball is a team sport, so i don't think that players already know they are gonna score 50+ points. depends on the player i guess
