For w^2 = -225
You can square both sides. You end up with positive or negative 15i.

For √7x + 29 = x + 3 It's not clear, you should've added parenthesis.

For 2y^3 - 3y - 6 = 0 You can graph it. Since it asks for any method. It's about 1.755

For y = 1/2x^2 + 3 It's an upward parabola, form of a smile because the coefficient is positive.

√7x-29=x+3
26=x-√7x
26=-√7(x^2)

x^2=-√7(26)
